There are more than 50 research projects which he held and are from the "Eleventh Five-Year" and "Twelve Five-Year" national major science and technology projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Foundation, PetroChina, Sinopec etc. The researches and techniques are widely applied in the oilfields such as Daqing, Jilin, Liaohe Oilfield, North China, Dagang, Changqing, Xinjiang, Southwest oil and Gas Field, Tuha, Qinghai, Jidong, Yumen, Coal Bed Methane Company, Zhejiang Oilfield, Southern Exploration, Shengli Oilfield. In the projects which are verified, there are 5 cutting edge projects internationally, 2 projects which won the provincial science and technology progress award, 1 project at the bureau-level and 3 software patents. Currently, he focuses on the development of underground operations management system and its application, gas storage, well completion and injectivity and productivity as well as the analysis of enhanced oil recovery with electrical pulses for the low permeability oilfield.
