Our institute won the first prize of the 17th National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition

Recently, the annual finals of the 17th National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition were held. A team from our institute was shortlisted for the annual finals and won the first prize in the metaverse track. The name of the award-winning work is 3D Intelligent Cleaning Robot, the student team members are Fan Zenghao, Zhang Zhaoqiao, Ji Yufei, Xu Tianci, Yin Zechen, and the instructor is Professor Li Binfei.

The 3D intelligent cleaning robot is an innovative robot model designed to solve the two problems of insensitive mobile control and redundant cleaning devices in response to the existing pain points of mainstream sweeping robots in the current market. The main structure includes three parts: mechanical parts, control system and camera sensing. In terms of function, it can realize flexible movement, cleaning and vacuuming, and video transmission, and the design innovatively uses the structure of three-wheel circle of drive wheels, walking differential steering, cleaning and vacuuming. The main innovation is the optimization of mobile control and the separation design of the cleaning device, which is practical in terms of efficient cleaning and intelligent operation, which can provide users with efficient, accurate and intelligent cleaning services.

Guided by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, the China Association for Science and Technology and other departments, the National 3D Digital Innovation Design Competition is co-sponsored by the National Manufacturing Informatization Training Center, the National 3D Digital Technology Promotion Service and Education and Training Alliance (3D Power), Guanghua Design Development Foundation and other units. With the theme of Digital Intelligence Productivity 'Yuan' Creates the Future, this year's competition focuses on the development of digital intelligence technology and new quality productivity tracks, with four open tracks of digital industry, digital culture, digital habitat, and metaverse, and special tracks such as CAE simulation application engineering design, AI+3D innovation, CURC robot +, robot motion control, industrial collaborative robots, five-axis machining, digital design and manufacturing, etc. Since the launch of the competition in March 2024, the competition has attracted the participation of more than 600 colleges and universities in 32 competition regions across the country, and more than 2,100 projects have been shortlisted for the finals after school and provincial competitions, and finally selected 375 first prizes, 693 second prizes, 1,046 third prizes, 29 best individual awards, 92 excellent instructors, and 75 excellent organizational units.
