On July 19, 2017, the school of petroleum engineering held a closing ceremony for 8 students from University of New South Wales (UNSW) who just successfully completed 3-week internship in Shengli Oil Field. Kai Zhang attended the ceremony and awarded the certificate for each student.

UNSW students arrived at our school on June 27. They participated well control training, Petro-gathering forum, and oil field training. They all felt this trip is very fruitful for in Australia it is impossible to have access to oil field during 4 years study. They will encourage more students to apply for this exchange program next year.

Our school began to send top undergraduates to UNSW in 2011, so far more than 20 UPC studnets have been sent for short term study in UNSW. All tuitions are weaved by UNSW. As a mutual benefit,UPC chagres no cost of hotel, tuition, and domestc transportation for USNS students during their stay in UPC.
