Recently, the school of petroleum engineering held a closing ceremony for the first 9 students from Malaysia University of Technology, PETRONAS (UTP), for their successful completion of Student Internship Program (SIP) carried out at our school. Sun Baojiang, the Dean of our school, awarded each student with a formal certificate and took pictures with them. These 9 UTP students arrived at our school last September, and spent 7 months on scientific research guided by our professors. For fair evaluation, UTP sent a senior lecturer, Dr. Chew, to attend final presentation, in which each student is allowed for 30 minutes for reporting and quesiton answering. Each one gave an excellent performance and got satisfactory grade. At the ceremony, Dr. Chew expressed her congradulation to each student and gratitude to careful guidance of our professors. She also raised some suggestions on further cooperation in exchange of graduate students and young teachers.
It has been decided that next group of UTP students will be 12 members who will arrive at UPC in this September.
