Recently, the China National Nature Science Foundation Council released the winners of the cooperation projects funded by the council and RSE (Royal Society of Edinburgh, U.K.). The China University of Petroleum (East China) gained two projects, one of which goes to Yongfei Yang, an associate professor of the School of Petroleum Engineering. The project is entitled Charecterization of Pore Structure with Pressure Wave Frequency for Organic Riched Shale.
As per the MOU signed by China National Nature Science Foundation Council and RSE, both parties shall annually fund the cooperation researches. The Chinese applicants applied throught the National Nature Science Fundation Council and British applicants applied through RSE. Six projects are selected after joint evaluation of both sides.

The China National Nature Science Foundation Council aims to provide financial support for cooperation projects under the condition of equality coopration and mutual benefits. The international cooperation can increase our research ability and competitiveness.
