Recommended by the China Embassy in Russia, Prof. Valery V. Kadet, an academician of Gubin Russia State University of Oil and Gas, recently visited the school of petroleum engineering. Sun Baojiang, the dean, Wang Yefei, Zhang Kai, the vice-dean, met and held talks with the academician. His trip to our school is to seak any opportunities of cooperation between two univerisities in the areas of joint establishment of laboratory, exchange of doctorate students, and joint application for Russia state science funds, etc. During the meeting, Sun Baojiang highly appreciated Prof.Valery for his sincere desire of cooperation, and agreed in taking advantage of the relationship of stratigic parter between two countries and establishing all-round cooperations. Prof. Valery invited Sun Baojiang to form a group of professors to visit Gubkin Russia State University of Oil and Gas late this year for indepth understanding his university and speeding up the copperation.
    After the meeting, Prof. Valery gave an academic presentation entitled “The Effect of Electrodynamic Phenomenon on Flow Process of Multiphase Fluids” and “The Introduction of Hydrodynamics Department of Gubkin State University of Oil and Gas”. Following the prosentation, Prof. Valery visited some key laboratories of petroleum engineering and oil and gas transporation engineering.
