The third international symposium on engery challenges and mechanics was held in Aberdeen of England on July 7, Zhang Rui, Gong Houjian and Xu Long, PhD student, were invited to attend this conference. Zhang Rui also chaired oil and gas session. Three of them delivered presentations entitled Induced Flow by Coiled Tubing Gas injection in Depleted Gas Wells: Modeling and Applications,Further Enhanced Oil Recovery by HPAM/B-PPG Combination Injection after Tertiary Polymer Flooding and Rheological Properties of Polysaccharides and Application in Enhanced Oil Recovery. They introduce their latest achievements on backfow of depleted offshore gas reservior and polymer injection for enchance oil recovery, which received much attention from the participants.
The conference focuses on the latest achievements on global energy fields to promote exchanges among researchers and to solve technical problems in field of oil and gas engineering, clean energy, bioenergy, CO2 sequestration, etc. The conference was divided into 10 sessions. About 300 people from 50 countries participated in this conference.
