Prof. Cheng Yuanfang attended the 13th ISRM (International Society For Rock Mechanics) conference held in Toronto, Canada, on May 7, and delivered a presentation entitled A TRIANGULAR MESH SPLIT APPROACH TO SIMULAT CRACK PROPAGATION OF ROCK MASS. During the meeting, he met professors from the civil engineering department of Toronto University and visited its lab of rock mechanics.
ISRM conference is ranked the topmost meeting in the area of rock mechnics, which is held once very four years. The meet focuses on the most advanced rock mechanics achievements and research frontiers. One of its session meeting is on current shale gas exploration and development.
