A Shell delegation of 3 people, led by Dr. Jing Xudong, paid a visit to our school recently, and held talks with the faculty members from our foam fluid research center. Li Zhaomin,the head of the research center, gave a detailed introduction to the center research achievement on viscous oil development, EOR by foam fluid and CO2 drive. Dr. Jing delivered a speech on the Shell upstream business both in international and domestic markets, in which he raised the several technical issues needed for solving upstream production. Following his talk, Prof. Li Binfei introduced the lastest efferts made by the center in the area of EOR technique for ultra-viscous oil, and foam fluid theory and its application. The attendents exchanged their views on technical difficulties of common concerns.
