Sponsored by the world geothermal conference, Junrong Liu and Zhixue Sun from our research center of oil and gas flow through porous media attended the 2015 World Geothermal Conference held on April 19-25 in Melbourne of Australia. Liu delivered a presentation entitled Exploitation and Utilization Technology of Geothermal Resoure in Oil Field at a parallel session of the conference. Problems concerning geothermal development and utilization, underground flow mornitoring and interpretation, hydraulic fracturing simulation, and enhanced geothermal system were discussed by experts.
About 2000 people from 50 countries attended this conference, among them are 100 scholars from China. 20 parallel session were set for geophysics, geothermal exploration, geochemistry, hydrogeology, geothermal storage, geothermal electricity generation, drilling and completion, geothermal production, corrosion and scaling, etc. 270 panels were displayed at the meeting.
