Recently, China Scholarship Committee released the nominees for 2015 International Cooperation Program for National Innovative Talents and approved 56 projects, among them are our project of International Innovative Talents for Unconvential Oil and Gas Development applied by our university with cooperation of Herriot-Watt University, Texas A&M University, Colorado School of Mines, New South Welse University and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and project of International Innovative Talents for Chemical Engneering Safety and Environment with cooperation of Texas A&M University. Upon commencement of projects, 6-10 talented graduates and young teachers will be sponsored by the project for oversea training and accademic exchanges.
The first project, hosted by Prof. Yao Jun, aims to solve the problmes encoundered in developing unconvential oil and gas resources in China and to train innovative talents and leaders in this field. The innovation ceneters will be established in the above universities from five countries to discover training mode and mechanism for in-depth innovative talents. The objectives are to enchance academic exchanges, promote international influence of our oil and gas development discipline, train the badly needed talents for the country, and solve major problems of energy need faced by our nation.
