Prof. Cheng Yuanfang is back from Malaysia after giving lectures at Malaysia Technology University of Petroleum in the period of Mar.1- 10. As required by this university, Prof. Cheng is requested to address to 19 postgraduates in the course of Mechanics of Material for Drilling Engineering . Apart from letctures, Prof. Cheng also met the Dean of dept. of petroleum enginneering and professors, and delivered an academic presentation entitled Advances in Geomachanics Research in China University of Petroleum.
From the talks, Prof. Cheng feels that they have eager interests to establish a long standing relationship and open channel of operation with our university in the area of teaching, research and student exchange. This business trip to Malaysia will surely pave a solid foundation for the future cooperation between two universities. Next year, our school will send one top-ten senior student to this university for 6 months short term study, sponsored by China Schlarship Committee.
