On Oct. 4, hundreds of alumni home and abroad returned and gathered together to celebrate the 60th anniversary of founding of China University of Petroleum. Among alumni are Hua Zepeng, Li Xiusheng, Wang Yurui, Li Yuping, and others. A cold dish party was held for alumni in the building galley. Sun Baojiang, the Dean of school of petroleum engineering, gave a welcoming speech to all alumni. In his speech, he recalled the course of development of our school and summarized the achievements made over the past 60 years. For future development, he was looking forward to receiving all kinds of supports from alumni to build our school into the first-class globalized school in the world in both teaching and scientific researches. Following the welcoming speech, alumni expressed their feeling and excitement on witnessing such a huge change of UPC, and would do the best they can to give strong supports to our school in the future. The party was concluded with the performances presented by the Art Group of our school.
