Recently, Shandong nature science fund commission released result of 22 funded projects, the project of oil well multiphase flow theory and application applied by Prof. Zhiyuan Wang is in the list. He will be funded for 600.000 RMB for duration of three years.

Prof. Wang has long been engaged in the research of multiphase flow in oil and gas wells and deep water well control technology.He developed wellbore multiphase flow model based on hydrate and super critical phase change. He also developed methods of deep water well control and hydrate inhibition. His finding has been extensively used in over 30 oil fields home and abroad. Due to his findings, downhole problems have been greatly reduced and drill costs have been saved substantially. He published 84 papers in various journals and holds 18 pantents.
