At the end of July, the SPE Petrobowl competition was held in Malaysia which was attended by more than 20 Asian universities of 10 countries, including the University of New South Wales. Our UPC team, the only one in China,was finally ranked fifth after four rounds fierce competitions, and directly enters the final Petrobowl which will be held in this October in Atlanta, U.S.A.

Petrobowl competition involves many petroleum fields, including petroleum engineering, geology, petroleum development history, and current petroleum issues. This is the sixteenth competition, it is also regarded as a petroleum Olympics. The competition aims to create chances to get together talented students from various countries and improve their knowledge of petroleum engineering.
