Recently the SPE student chapter organized a trip to Dongying for visiting Shangdong Keri company, Deshi Petroleum Group, Noel Biological Group and Dongying Wilma Drilling Tools Company. The members of SPE Chapter went to workshops of each company and communicated with technicians of these companies. Wu Lili, vice president of Deshi petroleum group, said that in oil field service business, field working experience is the most important factor for the employee to keep a better position in the company, he can only work his way up after he totally familrizes himself with all operational details of each process. Through this visit, the members of the SPE chapter obtain the knowledge which can not be learned from the classroom in the university, and find their shortcomings and deficiencies to be rectified in the future.
The trip to Dongying aims to advertise the SPE student chapter of UPC and build the platform to link UPC and enterprises. Li Ning, the member of SPE student chapter, delivered a presentation to introduce the development of the UPC SPE student chapter and the event of Petro-gathering forum, which deeply impressed the leaders of the four companies, who expressed desires to employ more UPC students in the future.
