Recently the 2nd Student SPE Paper Competition was held in our school. Zhang Kai, the vice dean, and other three professors are invited to serve as jury. The competition adopted official SPE paper procedures, which include submission of the paper, PPT presentation, and quesiton answering. All are required to present in English. The event drew an enthusiastic response from the students. After one week evaluation, the finalists of 12 students enter the final competition. Eventually, Senyou An won the first prize in the postgraduate group, and Rupeng Li was placed the first in the undergraduate group, both students are qualified for the Asia SPE paper competion to be held in in Perth of Australia on October of 2016.
    At the end of the competition, Zhang Kai spoke highly of all particiapants, and added that future effort should be placed on verbal expression. This competition is held for the preparation of SPE paper competition to be held in July by our university.
