About the speaker

Prof. Antonio Carlos Fernandes gained his PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)in 1983, and is a dean and professor of Federal University of Rio De Janeiro . He has long been engaged in vessel and marine engineering, offshore riser and pipeline hydrodynamics, offshore renewable energy, subsea production system and naval architechture installation analysis. He published over 100 papers in various journals.
