Introduction of the speaker
Roland N. Horne is now the Thomas Davies Barrow professor of earth science in the department of energy resource engineering at Stanford University, and director of the Stanford geothermal program. Horne was elected a member of US academy of engineering in 2002. He is best known for his work in well test interpretation, produciton optimization, and tracer analysis of fractured reservoirs. Horne is the 2010-2013 president of the international geothermal association, technical cochair of the World Geothermal Congresses 2005, a guest professor of China University of Petroleum.
