Topic: Lattice Boltzmann Method and its Applications Course Series
Lecturer: Dr. Timm Krüger
Inviter: Assoc. Prof. Bei Wei
Biography:
Timm Krüger, Reader, School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh, graduated from the University of Bochum with a PhD in Physics in 2011, followed by postdoctoral research at Eindhoven University of Technology and University College London, and has been teaching and researching at the University of Edinburgh since 2013. His research interests include lattice Boltzmann modeling and simulation of complex fluids, including the simulation of emulsions, deformed particles and suspensions of red blood cells, etc. He has published more than 40 papers in PNAS, ACS Nano, J Fluid Mech and other prestigious journals. The Lattice Boltzmann Method - Principles and Practice is widely used by researchers in China and abroad. This series of lectures will introduce the latest progress of his group in particle flow simulation, and systematically introduce the Lattice Boltzmann Method and its applications, as well as explain the common problems in research.
