In order to implement the national education digitalization strategy, further deepen and expand the mutually beneficial cooperation and exchange between China and Indonesia in the field of higher education, the Secretariat of the World MOOCs and Online Education Alliance is soliciting and selecting courses from universities across the country to open up a Global Hybrid Classroom to Indonesian universities. Professor Sun Renyuan of our university is responsible for the course Oil Reservoir Physics, which has become the first course selected by our university for this project. A total of 34 courses nationwide were selected for the project this year.

The Global Hybrid Classroom enables overseas students to attend classes online synchronously and interact with teachers using the new version of Rain Classroom + Tencent Meeting, achieving the goal of domestic and international students attending the same class. This semester, Professors Sun Renyuan, Yang Yongfei, and Zhang Lei are live broadcasting this course in our university's high-quality recording studio, and Indonesian students are learning synchronously through Rain Classroom.

As a core course in Petroleum Engineering, the Oil Reservoir Physics course was selected as one of the first bilingual teaching demonstration courses in Shandong Province in 2019, one of the first English teaching brand courses for international students in China by the Ministry of Education in 2013, one of the first international courses on Xuexi Online in 2020, and one of the first-class undergraduate courses in Shandong Province in 2021. This course, selected for the Global Hybrid Classroom, will further expand students' opportunities for cross-regional and cross-cultural learning, promote the improvement of teachers' teaching concepts and international teaching capabilities, and enhance the internationalization and influence of the course.
