On July 14th, the State Intellectual Property Office announced the award decision for the 24th China Patent Award. The invention Lever-type Frozen Gel Dispersant Production Device and Frozen Gel Dispersant and its Preparation Method and Application developed by Zhao Guang and others from our college has been awarded the China Patent Excellence Award.

  The patent Lever-type Frozen Gel Dispersant Production Device and Frozen Gel Dispersant and its Preparation Method and Application (Patent No: ZL201811288180.2) aims to improve crude oil recovery. It focuses on three aspects: frozen gel dispersant system and preparation method, lever-type production equipment, and online production injection process. The patent simplifies the preparation method of blocking agents, making it easy to control, cost-effective, with enhanced temperature and salt resistance, and superior water control effects. It enables mobile factory production of blocking agents, addressing the challenge of continuous operation in complex environments like tidal flats, hills, and offshore platforms. The water control process has shifted from"product factory workshop production, sketchy injection at the mining site" to "online adjustable production of products, dynamic intelligent matching injection into oil reservoirs". This innovation overcomes the traditional challenges of low water control efficiency and poor oil recovery effects. The technology and equipment have been applied in complex offshore platforms in the Bohai Sea and Zhanjiang operated by CNOOC, as well as in oil fields operated by Sinopec in Tahe, Shengli, Jiangsu, Northeast China, PetroChina in Tuha, Changqing, Xinjiang, among others. This advancement has further increased crude oil recovery in medium to high water-cut oil fields, making a significant contribution to the sustainable development of oil fields and energy security in China.

  The China Patent Award is jointly organized by the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the World Intellectual Property Organization. It aims to recognize patentees and inventors (designers) who actively and effectively engage in creating, using, protecting, and managing intellectual property rights, and who have made outstanding contributions to promoting innovation and accelerating economic and social development. The award has been successfully held for 24 sessions. This year, a total of 29 China Patent Gold Awards, 60 China Patent Silver Awards, 777 China Patent Excellence Awards, 10 China Design Gold Awards, 15 China Design Silver Awards, and 45 China Design Excellence Awards have been selected. Seven units have received the Best Organization Award, 20 units have received the Excellence Organization Award, and 20 academicians have received the Best Recommendation Award. Our university has been awarded 3 invention patents with the China Patent Excellence Award this year.
