On December 5, 2023, the National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Science and Technology Innovation Conference was held in Wuhan, where the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Awards for 2023 and outstanding science and technology workers in the national petroleum and chemical industry were honored. Our college had 8 projects (individuals) recognized, including 4 first prizes for technological progress, 2 second prizes, 1 award for outstanding contribution in young science and technology, and 1 outstanding science and technology worker in the national petroleum and chemical industry.

  The China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation established the Science and Technology Awards to accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of scientific and technological personnel, promote independent innovation, unity, cooperation, joint tackling of key problems, and strive for scientific and technological excellence among petroleum and chemical science and technology workers. The awards are evaluated and presented once a year. In 2023, a total of 179 science and technology award projects were awarded, including 9 first prizes for technological inventions, 3 second prizes, 11 third prizes, 1 special prize for scientific and technological progress, 30 first prizes, 59 second prizes, and 66 third prizes; 2 Zhao Yonghao Technology Innovation Awards, 16 awards for outstanding contributions in young science and technology, 3 innovation team awards, 11 gold awards for petroleum and chemical industry patents, and 56 excellence awards were presented.

  The China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation established the National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Outstanding Science and Technology Worker Award to encourage and recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology in the national petroleum and chemical industry. This aims to stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of science and technology workers in the national petroleum and chemical industry, leverage the supporting and guiding role of technology in transforming the economic development mode, and promote the progress of science and technology in China's petroleum and chemical industry. In 2023, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation awarded 196 individuals the honorary title of National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Outstanding Science and Technology Worker.
