Recently, the Degree Committee of the People's Government of Shandong Province issued a notice approving the Petroleum Engineering + Engineering Management dual bachelor's degree compound talent training program jointly applied by our college and the School of Economics and Management. It has been approved as the only project of its kind in the province this year.

    As the first dual bachelor's degree compound talent training program in the university, the Petroleum Engineering + Engineering Management training program meets the needs of national energy transformation and development. It is built on the foundation of two primary doctoral disciplines in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, as well as the construction of two nationally renowned undergraduate programs in Petroleum Engineering and Engineering Management. The program is supported by a strong and excellent faculty, teaching facilities, and scientific research platforms. Focusing on the deep integration of petroleum engineering and management, the project aims to cultivate advanced talents for the new era with a solid foundation in petroleum development and engineering management, capable of handling complex tasks in engineering technology and management, interdisciplinary communication, and possessing comprehensive abilities.

    The program plans to enroll students through the college entrance examination starting in 2024, with a four-year duration. Upon completion of undergraduate studies and meeting the requirements for a bachelor's degree, students will be awarded dual bachelor's degrees in Engineering and Management, with both degrees having equal validity and no distinction between majors and minors. Whether pursuing employment or further studies, the dual bachelor's degree offers more flexible choices and limitless possibilities for development.

    The dual bachelor's degree compound talent training program is a beneficial exploration and active exploration by the college in promoting interdisciplinary integration and training of compound talents, as well as a significant initiative to serve national major strategies and industrial development needs.
