A Delegation from Kazakh-British Technical University Visits the University to Discuss Cooperation

  On May 29th, Vice Dean Tikebaev Talgat and Associate Professor Bauyrzhan·Sarsenbekuly from the Energy and Petroleum Industry School of Kazakh-British Technical University visited our university. Vice Dean Zhang Zhiying from the International Education School, Vice Deans Yang Yongfei, Qi Ning, Huang Weian, along with some faculty representatives and staff from the International Education School's admissions office, engaged in discussions and exchanges regarding cooperation matters.

  During the meeting, Vice Dean Yang Yongfei welcomed the guests and outlined the main agenda of the meeting, expressing strong support from the School of Petroleum Engineering for the joint undergraduate 2+2 Petroleum Engineering program with Kazakh-British Technical University's Energy and Petroleum Industry School. Subsequently, Vice Dean Zhang Zhiying from the International Education School summarized the content and outcomes of the previous two online meetings with Kazakh-British Technical University. Both parties discussed details of the joint training program, including training plans, costs, scale, and agreement terms, and agreed on the signing date for the agreement.

  At the meeting, Director Wang Xiaopu from the International Affairs Office presented an overview of the School of Petroleum Engineering, while Bauyrzhan·Sarsenbekuly introduced the basic situation of the Energy and Petroleum Industry School at Kazakh-British Technical University. The participants delved into discussions on student exchanges, joint training, professor visits, and expressed their desire to use this exchange as an opportunity to explore cooperation in various fields such as student exchanges, internships, joint graduate training, teacher exchanges, and collaborative research.

  In the afternoon, the delegation from Kazakh-British Technical University visited the teaching laboratories, some labs in the public testing platform of the School of Petroleum Engineering, and our university's Petroleum Industry Training Center.
