Liu Yuquan, a native of Qingdao, Shandong Province, graduated from Tsinghua University in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in mechanics, graduated from Tsinghua University in 2014 with a doctorate degree in fluid mechanics, and has been teaching at China University of Petroleum (East China) since 2014. Fluid mechanics has always been a difficult course in engineering learning, students have said that I don't understand and can't learn, how to make students move their eyes back to the blackboard, the knowledge broken has become a bottleneck that many teachers want to break through.

Liu Yuquan spent his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at Tsinghua University, majoring in fluid mechanics during his college years. After graduating in 2014, he still deals with fluid mechanics and is responsible for related professional basic courses.

However, the limited class schedule, the intense class schedule and the complex layout design all tested this young teacher with limited experience, so he made two magic weapons, nicknamed board books and time books, and grasped the skills of board books and teaching through trial and error.

In fact, it's just a stupid way, write in a notebook first, and then find a blackboard to practice, and when you write more, you will know in your heart. Since 2017, Liu Yuquan has been accustomed to using the board book to make a draft before class, and immediately after class, he will record the advantages and disadvantages of this class in the time book...... I have to write these situations in a notebook, urging myself to complete them within 10 minutes after class, otherwise I will forget about them. ”

In the year of exploration, Liu Yuquan has now taken charge of the fluid mechanics course group, inheriting the traditional but romantic ritual of board book. This year is Liu Yuquan's 10th year of teaching, and many people find it difficult to imagine that such an engineering teacher is still a creative talent.

When he was studying at Tsinghua University, he participated in the campus singer competition and won the third place, and when he graduated, he adapted Blue and White Porcelain as Tsinghua Ci and sent it to his alma mater. After coming to Shida to work, he still insisted on his hobby of singing and creating, and participated in the 2018 orientation party on the 65th anniversary of the school's founding, and wrote and sang the original song Pillars of the Nation.

When he was the head teacher of the 1402 class of CNOOC, he independently adapted and wrote the lyrics to create Spring Breeze Ten Miles (Shida Edition), which was presented to the graduates at the 2018 graduation party of the School of Petroleum Engineering.

In his spare time, Liu Yuquan will also play some songs that he has recorded and covered to the students, adjusting the classroom atmosphere and allowing the students to enjoy the happiness brought by music.

Teaching and singing are actually interconnected, and both need to bring good things to everyone. From his initial exposure to music in college to bringing his own songs into the classroom, Liu Yuquan will continue to persevere and bring knowledge and music to his students.
