Recently, Academician Sun Jinsheng led the National Natural Science Foundation of China Basic Science Center project Ultra-deep deep oil and gas drilling and production flow regulation stage summary exchange meeting held in China University of Petroleum (East China).

Academician Hao Fang, President of China University of Petroleum (East China), the supporting unit of the project, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The opening ceremony was presided over by Miao Hongyan, Deputy Director, and the project phase exchange meeting was presided over by Academician Xie Heping.
Academician Hao Fang expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all leaders and experts on behalf of the school, introduced the school's running process and the latest progress of the school in scientific and technological innovation, talent training and discipline construction, and pointed out that the science center project led by Academician Sun Jinsheng is of great significance to the school's double-first-class construction and the construction of the deep oil and gas national key laboratory.
Executive Deputy Director Wang Qidong congratulated China University of Petroleum (East China), the project undertaking unit, and believed that the Basic Science Center project, as a peak on a high mountain, was the highest-positioned project among the talent projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He hoped that under the guidance of the expert group, the project team could tackle key problems around core scientific issues, strive to promote interdisciplinary integration, dare to climb scientific peaks, and cultivate more outstanding scientific and technological talents. Produce a batch of original achievements of international leading level.
Academician Sun Jinsheng reported the overall progress of the project, and the project leaders reported the progress of the project respectively. The expert group conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the achievements of the project phase, fully affirmed the achievements made by the Basic Science Center in the past two years, and unanimously agreed that the project focused on basic scientific issues in the field of ultra-deep oil and gas drilling and production flow in China, and achieved remarkable achievements in ultra-high temperature drilling fluid resistance, leakage prevention and plugging, cementing fluid, fracturing fluid, multi-component mixed flow, seepage flow and enhanced oil recovery, etc., supporting the construction of major deep-seated projects and deep oil and gas national key laboratories in China. It has had an important influence at home and abroad. The expert group believes that the overall progress of the project is smooth, the phase research contents and expected indicators specified in the task specification have been fully completed, and constructive suggestions for the next step of the project have been put forward.
Academician Sun Jinsheng made a concluding speech at the conference and sincerely thanked the expert group for their valuable opinions. The project team will implement expert opinions as soon as possible, strengthen the analysis of engineering problems and the condensation of scientific problems, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation among various topics, promote cross integration and realize achievement sharing.
Based on China Petroleum University (East China), the Basic Science Center Project of Flow Regulation of Ultra-deep and Ultra-deep Oil and Gas Drilling and Production is jointly applied by China Petroleum Engineering Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Oriental University of Science and Technology (tentative name). It is the first basic science center project in China's oil and gas field. Facing the major strategic needs of the country for safe oil and gas supply, the project focuses on the neck problems and major technical bottlenecks such as ultra-high temperature and high salt resistant drilling and production working fluid materials, malignant leakage prevention, flow control software, intelligent control technology, etc. Relying on first-class platforms and leading scholars in the oil and gas field, it carries out basic research on ultra-deep oil and gas drilling and production flow control, innovates ultra-deep oil and gas drilling and production flow control theories and methods, and develops ultra-high temperature and high salt, The international academic frontier of drilling and production flow regulation in ultra-high stress formation leads the international development of ultra-deep oil and gas science and technology.
