From October 13 to 18, our delegation visited several Russian universities, including Russian State Gubkin Oil and Gas University, Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State Mining University, and participated in the BRICS Academic Forum on Mineral Resources as the Foundation of National Sovereignty-Talents and Innovation Environment held in St. Petersburg State Mining University together with the teachers and students of the university. Dean Hou Jian participated in the whole visit.

Visit to the Laboratory of the Faculty of Life Sciences of Moscow State University

At the Russian State Gubokin University of Oil and Gas, the delegation held discussions with relevant personnel on topics such as joint student training, scientific research cooperation and engineering alliances. At Moscow State University, the delegation discussed scientific research, student exchange visits, etc. with relevant officials and visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Life Sciences. During the visit, the delegation communicated with international students to lay the foundation for future talent introduction.

Professor Huang Fang, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of China University of Petroleum (East China), attended the roundtable discussion as a special guest at the BRICS Academic Forum on Mineral Resources as the Foundation of National Sovereignty-Talents and Innovation Environment, sharing the experience of China University of Petroleum (East China) in international talent cultivation and discipline construction, and discussing the sharing and cooperation of mineral resources education.

Consular exchanges between the delegation and China in St. Petersburg

During the meeting, the delegation met with the President of St. Petersburg Mining University and exchanged views with the Consul General of China Consulate in St. Petersburg. The delegation visited the teaching laboratory, training center and mining museum of St. Petersburg University of Mining, and signed cooperation intention with the School of Petroleum and Gas Engineering of the university.

This visit to Russia not only deepened the cooperative relationship between our university and Russian universities, but also laid a solid foundation for education and talent training in the field of mineral resources development and utilization in the future.
