Zhang Zhan read out the Notice on Carrying out the Tenth Five-Year Plan Business Development Plan of the Petroleum Engineering Institute and the Preliminary Study of the Outline of the Long-term Goals in 2035, and interpreted relevant matters. He pointed out that the 14th Five-Year Plan and the second round of double-first-class construction have entered the final stage and will soon usher in summary evaluation. The Tenth Five-Year Plan period is the key period for China to basically realize modernization by 2035, and it is also the key period for the college to build a world-class high-level research college in petroleum and natural gas engineering disciplines. Doing a good job in the preliminary research of the college's Tenth Five-Year Plan career development plan and the outline of its long-term goals in 2035 is a concrete measure to implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee. The college will adhere to two orientations, namely, facing the new trend of higher education development in China, facing the new needs of national energy strategy and local economic development; Focusing on the three keys, namely, the development status and future trend of similar colleges and universities, the achievements of the 14th Five-Year Plan and double-first-class construction of the College, and the opportunities and challenges faced by the discipline development of the College, we will further clarify the future key development direction, development objectives and main work measures of the College by means of a large number of investigations, visits and consultations, so as to provide important support for the scientific preparation of the 15th Five-Year Plan career development plan and the outline of the long-term objectives of 2035.
