In order to further improve the quality of running a school and optimize the service level, on the afternoon of December 28, the college held a symposium on the training of teachers and students with the same academic ability. The meeting was chaired by Professor Huang Wei'an, Dean of Graduate Studies, and attended by 24-level graduate students, lecturers, graduate supervisors and relevant personnel of the Office of Graduate Education.

Huang Wei'an pointed out that on-the-job postgraduate education is a form of education that meets the needs of modern social development, which not only helps to improve the professional ability and comprehensive quality of in-service personnel, but also plays a positive role in promoting the innovation and development of enterprises, social and economic progress and the improvement of the education system. In 2024, the college will begin to recruit graduate students with the same academic ability, actively strive for the university's policy, and open professional courses for the first time in the online system for in-service graduate students as a pilot. According to the requirements, the quality of the dissertation publication and dissertation of the working graduate students is consistent with the requirements of the full-time graduate students, and the guidance of the supervisor is essential for the thesis research of the working graduate students. He hoped that all graduate students with the same academic ability would put forward opinions and suggestions on the in-service graduate education work of the school, such as course teaching, management services and follow-up thesis research, in combination with their personal learning improvement, so as to fully reflect the needs.

Graduate students with the same academic ability from different provinces, cities and units introduced their learning experience and career development, and expressed their opinions and suggestions on the theme of the symposium. Everyone agreed that the management of the college's in-service graduate education is strictly standardized, the teachers of the graduate education office are conscientious, meticulous and thoughtful, and the teachers are serious and responsible, and expressed their gratitude to the college for the online course arrangement and learning service guarantee, and also proposed that the on-the-job graduate degree needs to take into account both work and study, and needs to find a balance in the busy work to maintain work efficiency and learning progress, and hopes that the school and college can fully consider the actual needs and actual situation of the in-service personnel, continuously optimize the teaching content, and focus on engineering applications Under the premise of high standards and strict requirements, we will flexibly assess the method and make full use of the teaching platform to share teaching resources.

The participating teachers responded positively to the opinions and suggestions put forward on the interaction and effect of online teaching of graduate students with the same academic ability, and said that they would actively try diversified assessment methods, such as online tests, research reports and remote reports, to ensure the quality and effectiveness of teaching on the premise of ensuring the assessment requirements, and also encouraged the in-service graduate students to dare to put forward opinions and needs, so that teachers can quickly respond to changes in society and the market, and cultivate top-notch professionals who can effectively meet the needs of enterprises. In terms of dissertation research, the graduate supervisors suggested that in-service graduate students should pay close attention to the academic frontier after admission, read literature extensively, communicate with their supervisors regularly, plan in advance, start as soon as possible, and make full preparations for the topic selection and research of the dissertation to ensure the smooth development of the dissertation.

Huang Wei'an thanked the participating teachers and students for their concern and positive thinking about the school's in-service postgraduate education and training. He said that the college will continue to improve the training and management services of graduate students, actively explore the long-term mechanism of school-enterprise cooperation, realize resource sharing and complementary advantages, effectively improve the quality of in-service graduate education, provide support for the career development of in-service graduate students, and better serve the needs of social and economic development.
