In order to further implement the requirements for the construction of talent training system in the new era, deepen the educational exchanges and cooperation between universities of Sino-Russian University of Technology Alliance, and further enhance students 'international vision and global competence, from July 27 to August 4, the Overseas Practice Group of Global Competence of Petroleum Engineering College went to Moscow, Russia to participate in the 2024 Sino-Russian University of Technology Alliance Energy and Industrial Sustainable Development Summer Camp. Our counselor Zhang Hao led 15 graduate students and 5 undergraduate students to participate in the study. The participating teachers and students conducted course study and practical investigation at the Russian State Oil and Gas University (hereinafter referred to as Gubokin University), listened to many lectures by famous scholars, and visited teaching venues and scientific research centers.

      At the opening ceremony, Alexander Maksimenko, Vice President of Gubkin University, warmly welcomed the participating teachers and students, expressed his importance to Sino-Russian higher education cooperation, stressed that Chinese and Russian universities should work together to effectively solve sustainable development and environmental problems in the field of energy industry, and hoped that Chinese and Russian students would deepen exchanges and enhance friendship through this activity, and encourage Chinese and Russian teachers and students to understand each other's history, cultural traditions and values.

      During the summer camp, the students listened to 15 lectures by Academician Valery Bessel and other well-known experts covering industrial technology, law and economy, such as oil and gas resource assessment, greenhouse gas storage, Russian petroleum energy development, etc., and visited scientific research centers and teaching venues such as oil and gas field development and management research center, offshore drilling research center, physical and colloidal chemistry laboratory, mineral rock museum, kerosene lamp museum, etc. Successfully completed 40 class hours of course study and practical investigation activities.

At the closing ceremony, Dai Caili, Vice President of our school, expressed sincere thanks to Gubkin University online and highly affirmed the special significance of this alliance summer camp. She pointed out that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the summer camp will have a positive impact on deepening Sino-Russian educational cooperation and talent exchange, promoting the activities of similar university alliances and inter-university exchanges and cooperation within the alliance.

    This study tour allowed the members of the practical delegation to appreciate the elegant demeanour of Russia's top petroleum institutions, deepened the knowledge and understanding of the participating teachers and students on the Sino-Russian education system, and laid a foundation for further cooperation between the two sides. Through exchanges and interactions with Russian students, both sides not only gained knowledge, but also enhanced friendship. In addition, this study has also become a feast of East-West cultural blending. While feeling the unique customs of Russia, students also experienced the way of thinking and living habits under different cultural backgrounds. This kind of cultural collision and fusion greatly enhances students 'intercultural communication ability and lays a solid foundation for their future gallop on the international stage.
