[Station News] On November 22, the college organized an expert argumentation meeting for the 2024 version of the undergraduate curriculum syllabus, reviewing and arguing the syllabuses of 3 undergraduate majors. Five off-campus experts from Chongqing University, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Southwest Petroleum University, Shandong University of Science and Technology, and the Exploration and Development Research Institute of Sinopec Shengli Oilfield Branch, as well as 4 on-campus experts, were invited to participate in the argumentation. Vice President Qi Ning presided over the meeting, with department heads, major responsible persons, course responsible persons, and teaching office staff attending the meeting.

Qi Ning represented the college to welcome and express gratitude to the experts for their attendance, and introduced the revision background and key points of the expert review of the 2024 version of the curriculum syllabus. The heads of the three majors respectively made an overall introduction to the revision work of the curriculum syllabus of the Petroleum Engineering major (Oil and Gas + Artificial Intelligence Experimental Class), the Petroleum Engineering + Engineering Management dual bachelor's degree compound talent training program, the Marine Oil and Gas Engineering major, and the Carbon Storage Science and Engineering major. The heads of 16 courses involved in the argumentation reported on the scientificity and feasibility of the curriculum syllabus writing, the support of the curriculum objectives for graduation requirements, the curriculum ideological and political teaching design, textbook selection, teaching methods, and assessment methods.
Experts at the meeting, after carefully listening to the report and reviewing the 2024 version of the curriculum teaching syllabus, focused on constructive suggestions and advice on aspects such as the design of course content, the connection between similar courses, the corresponding relationship between course objectives and graduation requirements, and the consistency between course teaching and assessment methods. The experts suggested integrating intelligent elements into course teaching in line with the new situation of higher education and the new business forms of the industry, reflecting the cutting-edge development, further optimizing the curriculum system, and improving the quality of course teaching.
Finally, Qi Ning stated that the college will comprehensively organize and seriously absorb the valuable opinions of the experts, further improve the curriculum outline, and take this opportunity to continuously promote the deepening of the educational and teaching system and the continuous improvement of talent cultivation capabilities.
