Deep Oil and Gas Engineering Technology Joint Innovation Center Exchange Meeting

Sun Hu, deputy general manager of Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company, Lu Dengyun, chief expert of the company, Yu Jiansheng, general manager of the science and technology information department, and more than 20 enterprise experts from Changqing Drilling Company, downhole operation company, drilling and production institute, and shale gas project department attended the meeting. Xu Wen, a senior expert from the Ministry of Science and Technology Information, presided over the meeting and reviewed the progress of cooperation since the signing of the co-construction agreement between the school and the enterprise in 2024 and the establishment of the Deep Oil and Gas Engineering Technology Joint Innovation Center, emphasizing that the construction of the center should be problem-oriented, insist on finding real problems and solving real problems. It is expected that the two sides will find a combination point through exchanges, and the two sides will collide with sparks and lay the foundation for the next substantive cooperation. On behalf of the research group, Sun Baojiang and other 9 teachers introduced the latest research results and technical progress of the college in the research directions of well control, drilling fluid, fracture formation plugging, drilling speed, fracturing fluid system, and unconventional oil and gas enhanced oil recovery, focusing on the practical problems existing in the drilling production of Chuanqing, and focused on the direction of cooperation with Chuanqing Drilling in the next step.

Sun Hu welcomed the exchange led by Dean Hou Jian, and said that the establishment of the innovation center has created a good opportunity for school-enterprise cooperation, and hopes to make good use of the platform of the innovation center to establish a long-term stable cooperation mechanism between schools and enterprises, give full play to the synergy of schools and enterprises, theory and practice, professors and experts, and strengthen in-depth cooperation between schools and enterprises around the production problems faced by deep, deep-sea, unconventional and old oilfields, conduct in-depth exploration, and achieve a win-win situation between schools and enterprises.

Hou Jian expressed his gratitude to Chuanqing Drilling for actively promoting the construction of the innovation center. He said that the college attaches great importance to the combination of school and enterprise co-construction, and the college has docked with various production units of Chuanqing Drilling in advance, explored the urgent problems of production and the problem of stuck neck, and highly condensed the existing mature and highly transformative technical achievements to ensure the effectiveness of the exchange. In response to the technical needs put forward by on-site experts, the college will further sort out and focus on technical bottlenecks and problems, formulate a reasonable cooperation mechanism, promote the implementation of school-enterprise cooperation in an orderly manner, and achieve common high-quality development of both sides.

In September 2024, Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Co., Ltd. signed a contract with the university to establish a joint innovation center for deep oil and gas engineering technology to carry out technical cooperation in drilling and completion technology, wellbore working fluid, and unconventional oil and gas efficient development theory and technology. Relying on this platform, the college has planned, targeted and organized scientific research activities to promote the high-quality construction of the college's industry-university-research projects.
