On April 28, Dean Hou Jian led a team to visit the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering of Southwest Petroleum University to conduct research on talent training, faculty construction, and scientific research. Vice Presidents Huang Wei'an, Yang Yongfei, Li Zhaoai, and Pang Xueyu, Director of the Institute of Oil and Gas Well Engineering, accompanied the investigation.

Zeng Mingyou, Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Zhi, Dean, Qian Guang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Gao, Bian Xiaoqiang, Jia Wenlong, Vice Deans of the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, Southwest Petroleum University, had a discussion and exchange with Hou Jian and his party. Zhang Zhi presided over the meeting, welcomed Hou Jian and his entourage, and looked forward to taking this exchange as an opportunity to deepen the cooperation and exchanges between the two sides in scientific research and young teacher training. Li Gao and Yang Yongfei respectively introduced the basic situation of the college, and the two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on grassroots party building, talent training, faculty construction, scientific research activities organization, laboratory operation and management, etc. Hou Jian thanked the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering of Southwest Petroleum University for its long-term support for the development of the school, pointed out that the two sides complement each other's advantages, and hope to establish a normalized exchange mechanism in the fields of joint training of teachers, graduate projects, and scientific research to achieve common development.
