【Station Report】On June 6-7, a working conference for drafting the industry standard on Testing and Evaluation Methods for Anti-Sand Screen Pipe Performance was held in Qingdao under the leadership of Professor Chong Changyin from our institute. More than 20 experts from standard drafting units and manufacturers such as Tianjin Branch of China Offshore Oil Service Co., Ltd., China Offshore Oil Research Institute, Guangzhou Oceanic Geological Survey Bureau, Engineering Technology Branch of China Offshore Oil Energy Development Co., Ltd., Shengli Oilfield, Dagang Oilfield, and Dongying Rui Feng attended the meeting.

Professor Dong Changyin introduced the situation regarding the application for the industry standard project, focusing on the progress of the industry standard draft for public comments. He detailed the compilation principles, framework system, specific content, and existing issues. The experts present thoroughly discussed and exchanged views on the draft for public comments.

The industry standard project for the Testing and Evaluation Methods for Anti-Sand Screen Pipe Performance was initiated by China University of Petroleum (East China) as the lead drafting organization and Professor Dong Changyin as the lead drafter. It was jointly submitted with domestic research and application units specializing in the evaluation of anti-sand completion screen pipes. The project has successfully passed the defense review by the National Petroleum and Natural Gas Standardization Technical Committee and completed the preliminary review process by the Oil and Gas Extraction and Production Specialized Standardization Sub-committee. It is now in the stage of drafting the  draft for comments.
