On September 30, the college organized an expert demonstration meeting on the 2025 version of the training plan of petroleum engineering (elite class) to review and demonstrate the training plan of the consistent training mode of the first petroleum engineering major. Professor Tan Yunliang of Shandong University of Science and Technology, Professor Guo Jingxing of the School of Earth Science and Technology, Professor Guan Zhichuan, Professor Chen Dechun, Professor Bu Yuhuan, and Professor Du Dianfa of the School of Petroleum Engineering and 6 other experts from inside and outside the school were invited to participate in the demonstration. The meeting was presided over by Vice Dean Jia Han, and attended by Vice Dean Zhang Liming, Department Director Yao Chuanjin, and graduate and undergraduate teaching secretaries.

Jia Han introduced in detail the background of the formulation of the 2025 version of the training plan for petroleum engineering (elite class) and the key points of expert review. After listening carefully to the report and carefully reviewing it, the participating experts consulted and took the pulse of the professional training plan, focusing on the introduction of the discipline, training objectives, training direction, curriculum system setting, and credit allocation. Experts suggest relying on the dominant position of the college's first-class disciplines, highlighting professional characteristics, formulating interdisciplinary courses, combining the development of new situations and new formats, and increasing the foundation of mechanics and professional foreign languagesThe proportion of artificial intelligence courses forms an elite training path. The participating experts also put forward guidance on the diversion mechanism of students at different training stages.
Finally, Jia Han expressed his gratitude to the experts for their valuable opinions, saying that after the meeting, the opinions of the experts will be sorted out one by one, and the training plan will be revised and improved according to the experts' opinions, so as to form a petroleum engineering (elite class) talent training program that reflects the characteristics of the new era and has distinctive characteristics, so as to ensure the promotion and implementation of talent training goals.
