International awards are in China for the first time! Professor Dai Caili received the SPE Petroleum Engineering Outstanding Teacher Achievement Award

On the evening of October 21, local time in Houston, USA, the International Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). The 2025 Annual Conference and SPE Annual Awards Dinner was held. Professor Dai Caili was awarded the SPE Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty in 2025. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to teaching, scientific research and talent training in the field of petroleum engineering, he became the first Chinese teacher and scholar to receive this honor since the award was established in 1981.

This award is not only an affirmation of myself, but also an affirmation of our country's petroleum engineering education community. It is hoped that more experts, especially young people, will go to the international stage to broaden their horizons and contribute to the cultivation of world oil talents and technological progress. Dai Caili said.

Professor Dai Caili is a well-known expert in the field of oilfield chemistry and oil recovery improvement in our country. For more than 30 years, it has been committed to the research and development of materials in the fields of water control and oil enhancement in old oilfields with high water content, unconventional oil and gas fracturing and production, CCUS and other fields. Technical research and engineering practice, presided over 13 national scientific and technological research projects such as national key research and development, major scientific and technological projects, and national fund key projects, innovated and broke through a series of problems in high-quality chemical working fluids and equipment processes, and developed channels for different displacement media, water control and oil increase and fracturing system of temperature and salt resistance and anti-salt gel dispersion systemKey technologies such as energy enhancement, discharge and drive integration and efficiency, core patented technology licenses 31 oilfield service companies, and research results in 29 domestic oilfields and overseas6 oilfields have been applied on a large scale, helping our country continue to be in a leading position in the world in this field.
