The second China-Brazil Science and Technology Innovation Forum was hosted by Petrobras and co-organized by CNOOC, Rio Federal University and China University of Petroleum (Beijing), with the theme of Focusing on Science and Technology Industry Innovation and Promoting Win-win Practical Cooperation between China and Brazil. Prof. Pang Xueyu was invited to give a special report on Performance optimization of deepwater cementing systems under both low and high temperature conditions. Associate Professor Fu Guangming was invited to serve as the chairman of Decommissioning and Reuse + Technologies for Cost Reduction at the forum and gave a special report entitled Dynamic Response and Failure Analysis of Composite Pipeline and Riser.

During their stay in Brazil, the delegation met with Academician Segen F Estefen, head of the National Institute of Ocean Engineering in Brazil, and Jean-D, dean of the university's Institute of Engineering and TechnologyProfessor avid, Professor Murilo, Director of the Marine Structure Laboratory, Professor Ilson, Director of the Underwater Technology Laboratory, and Head of the Deep Water PoolProfessor Paulo de Tarso and others summarized the progress made by the two universities in scientific research cooperation, exchanges and visits between master's and doctoral students, and high-end experts in China. The two sides look forward to strengthening cooperation in dual degree pilots, the construction of overseas training bases, and academic exchanges. During the period, the delegation actively promoted the construction of the overseas excellent engineering training base between our university and the Brazilian National Institute of Ocean Engineering, which was the first overseas graduate training base signed by our university.
