Recently, the Shandong Provincial Curriculum Ideological and Political Research Center announced the results of the selection of 2025 Excellent Cases of Ideological and Political Studies of the Yellow River Major National Strategy Courses in Undergraduate Colleges and Universities in Shandong Province, and the case Serving the Yellow River Strategy and Empowering Green Energy - Petroleum Engineering Cognitive Practice declared by Professor Zhang Liming of our college was successfully selected.

The selection of excellent cases of ideological and political cases of the Yellow River major national strategy course aims to deeply refine and excavate the ideological and political elements contained in the curriculum, such as ecological civilization ideas, high-quality development concepts, and the awareness of protecting the mother river, and integrate the major national strategies of the Yellow River into classroom teaching. A total of 309 excellent cases were identified in the province, and 10 cases from our school were selected.

The college attaches great importance to the ideological and political construction of the curriculum, constantly innovates the ideological and political education model of the curriculum, promotes professional education and ideological and political education in the same direction, reforms and innovations in terms of curriculum content, teaching methods, and assessment methods, and promotes the connotative development of the curriculum. The selected cases are closely combined with the theme of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, organically integrate ideological and political elements into practical courses, guide students to pay attention to national strategies, cultivate feelings for family and country, and stimulate professional aspirations to serve the country, which is an important achievement of the college in continuing to promote the reform of ideological and political teaching in the curriculum.
