On December 24, the 2025 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Award Conference was held in Beijing, and the conference commended the winning units and individuals of scientific and technological innovation in the petroleum and chemical industry in 2025, and our institute led 5 projects to win awards, including 1 first prize and 1 third prize for technological invention, 1 first prize for scientific and technological progress, 1 innovation team award, and 1 youth innovation award.

Some award-winning teachers of our college were present to receive the awards

Professor Hou Jian was responsible for completing the Key Technology and Industrial Application of Deep Slow-Release Viscosity Chemical Flooding to Improve Crude Oil Recovery and won the first prize of technical invention. Professor Sun Baojiang was responsible for completing the Wellbore Pressure Control Technology and Equipment for Deep Complex Pressure System Formation Drilling won the first prize of scientific and technological progress; Professor Wu Feipeng was responsible for completing the Key Technology and Application of Deflagration Fracturing in Oil and Gas Wells and won the third prize of technical invention; Professor Dai Caili's China University of Petroleum (East China) Oilfield Chemistry and Recovery Improvement Innovation Team won the Innovation Team Award; Professor Wang Sen won the Youth Innovation Award.

In 2025, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation will award a total of 165 science and technology awards, including 1 special prize for technological invention, 6 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 7 third prizes, 2 special prizes for scientific and technological progress, 30 first prizes, 34 second prizes, and 81 third prizes. Zhao Yonghao was awarded 2 Science and Technology Innovation Awards, 2 Innovation Team Awards, and 15 Youth Innovation Awards.
