Recently, the release ceremony of the 2025 Qilu Most Beautiful Science and Technology Worker was held in Jinan. Professor Sun Baojiang of our college, recommended by the School Association for Science and Technology, is among them.

Sun Baojiang is the head of the innovation team of the Ministry of Education, the chief scientist of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the 973 Program, and an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. He has been based on the front line of teaching and scientific research for a long time, engaged in the research on well control safety of deep-water and deep oil and gas drilling, put forward the supercritical-gas-liquid-solid multi-component multi-phase change wellbore multi-phase flow well control theory, developed the whole process of fine pressure-controlled drilling technology and well control hydraulic parameter design software, and jointly developed the early overflow monitoring equipment, dynamic pressure drilling well control equipment and key equipment for pressure-controlled drilling, and made breakthroughs in key technologies of accurate prediction and regulation of wellbore pressure, prevention and control of air intrusion and well leakage, and well surge and blowout pressure pressure. The independent localization of core software and equipment has been realized. Relevant achievements have won 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 second prize of the National Technological Invention Award, 9 first prizes of the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Award, and 2 China Patent Excellence Awards. He has won honors such as National Model Teacher, Sun Yueqi Energy Award, China International Science Exchange Foundation Outstanding Engineer Award, SPE Outstanding Member Award, and Fellow of China Petroleum Society.

In order to vigorously carry forward the spirit of scientists, stimulate the sense of honor, pride and responsibility of the majority of scientific and technological workers, and guide and encourage the majority of scientific and technological workers to shoulder the mission of walking in the front and taking the lead, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Science and Technology Association, and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology jointly carried out the 2025 Qilu Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Workers publicity and tree selection activity. After unit recommendation, qualification review, expert voting, social publicity and other links, a total of 10 Qilu's most beautiful scientific and technological workers (team) were produced.
