Recently, relying on the China International Talent Exchange Foundation International Young Talents Exchange Program (CEP). Under the organization of Associate Professor Fu Guangming of our college, two young scholars from Brazil came to the school to carry out a one-month international internship activity. The event revolved around multiple forms such as academic seminars, course learning, laboratory practice and cultural immersion experience, allowing visiting scholars to closely perceive China's scientific and technological strength in the field of marine energy and deeply experience the profound heritage of Chinese culture. The event not only laid a solid foundation for academic cooperation between China and Latin America in related fields, but also promoted the deep friendship between the young people of the two countries through mutual acquaintance and blind date.

Academic integration to explore the frontier of marine energy
As a strategic university in the national energy industry, China University of Petroleum (East China) closely follows the development trend of the marine energy field and has created a multi-level and professional academic exchange platform for young Brazilian scholars, allowing Chinese and foreign young people to broaden their cognitive boundaries in the collision of ideas and explore cooperation paths in the sharing of achievements. During the event, two China-Latin America Marine Energy Young Scholars Symposium were launched and hosted, inviting visiting young scholars to gather together and conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics in the field of marine energy. The young Brazilian scholars brought their research results and practical experience in the field of marine energy, as well as their unique insights in high-performance algorithm development and software development and testing, allowing the two sides to learn from each other in face-to-face exchanges.
In order to deepen the cultivation of international talents, the school also offers an international course on generalized point transformation and its application, where young Brazilian scholars study in the same class with students in the school, focusing on the core knowledge of mathematics and science, so that Chinese and foreign young people can exchange learning methods in classroom interaction. In addition, young Brazilian scholars were organized to enter the laboratory to conduct field visits and practical internships, so that they could get close to advanced experimental equipment, feel the mature scientific research system, and intuitively experience China's strong technical strength in the field of marine energy development. The practical experience in the laboratory and the detailed explanations of scientific researchers have given Brazilian scholars a deeper understanding of China's scientific research and innovation ecology, tapped the huge potential of practical cooperation between the two sides in the field of marine energy, and laid a solid foundation for future joint research and application for international scientific research projects.

Stepping out of the campus, Qingdao's natural and cultural scenery has become a living carrier of Chinese culture. In the world cultural heritage Laoshan Taoist holy land, Brazilian scholars stroll between the mountains and seas to feel the oriental philosophical wisdom of the unity of heaven and man; In the intangible cultural heritage workshop, they make intangible cultural heritage works with their own hands to understand the inheritance and innovation of Chinese civilization; Night tour of Qingdao's seaside, the lively and lively atmosphere of the city, let them feel the openness and inclusiveness of this coastal city. A series of rich cultural activities have allowed young Brazilian scholars to understand China in an all-round and multi-angle way, and also allowed Chinese and foreign youth to shorten the distance and enhance understanding in cultural exchanges.
From academic cooperation to cultural exchanges, from technical discussions to friendships, this ocean-crossing exchange has planted the seeds of cooperation and friendship in the hearts of Chinese and Latin American youth. In the future, the college will continue to rely on international exchange platforms such as the CEP project to deepen talent training and scientific research cooperation with Latin American countries in the field of marine energy, contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Latin America and contribute to the sustainable development of global energy, so that the bridge of friendship across the ocean will become stronger and the future of China-Latin America marine energy cooperation will become broader.
