On June30, the 2026 degree conferral ceremony of the School of Petroleum Engineering was successfully held. Professor Hou Jian, Dean of the College, Professor Chen Dechun, Deputy Director of the Professors' Committee and member of the Degree Evaluation Subcommittee, presented the graduation ceremony. Vice Dean Jia Han presided over the ceremony, with Vice Deans Zhang Liming, Guo Tiankui, Pang Xueyu, Deputy Party Secretary Li Zhaoai, and all counselors and faculty representatives attending.

He mentioned that during their years at the university, students personally experienced important moments such as the 70th anniversary of the university's founding, the completion of Bocai Academy, and the formation of the doctoral program, resonating with the school and growing alongside the college. Among this year's graduates have also emerged many national-level discipline competition award-winning teams, recipients of the President's Award, and student role models, demonstrating the solid comprehensive qualities and sense of mission of students at Stone Engineering with their achievements.

Amid solemn music, the degree conferral session officially began, with Hou Jian and Chen Dechun presenting certificates and tassels to each graduate in turn. With each stroke and release, it is not only a fulfilling footnote of years of hard study, but also carries the teachers' hopes for the bright future of the younger generation. When meeting familiar students, teachers would remind them of their hopes for the future and warm phrases like Go home often, which moved many students to tears. Standing on stage and watching the teacher turn the tassel over, I suddenly understood the weight of the eight words: 'Deep exploration and broad selection, accumulated strength before releasing something.' Dai Qinyang, a PhD graduate from the class of 2026, said.
