Zhang Zhi introduced the basic situation, research layout, and technical support capabilities of the Oil and Gas Technology Research Institute; Heads of the Drilling Research Department, Completion and Reservoir Modification Research Department, and Oil and Gas Production Research Department respectively reported on research progress, on-site practice, and technical requirements in various fields. Pang Xueyu introduced the college's discipline development, research platforms, talent team, and distinctive research directions, focusing on showcasing the school's research foundation and advantages in deep and ultra-deep oil and gas drilling and completion, reservoir transformation, and oil and gas extraction engineering. The two sides engagedin in-depth exchanges focusing on the actual production of the Tarim Oilfield, focusing on key technical challenges, collaborative research efforts, on-site testing of scientific and technological achievements, and joint talent training.

Ren Yongcang stated that the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China) has outstanding disciplinary advantages and a solid research foundation, which closely aligns with the institute's business areas. He hopes both parties will smooth channels for demand matching, jointly tackle key and difficult issues in oilfield production, and promote the implementation and transformation of more scientific research achievements. Wang Zhiyuan thanked the institute for its long-term support, noting that the Tarim Oilfield is an important base for deep oil and gas exploration and development in China, providing rich practical scenarios for technological innovation in petroleum engineering; The college will carry out organized scientific research focused on the national energy strategy and the oilfield frontline, promote precise alignment between teams and enterprise technical forces, deepen joint tackling of key issues, platform construction, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation, supporting the high-quality development of the Tarim Oilfield and national energy security.

During the party-building co-construction segment, participants visited the oilfield-level party-building demonstration site at the Tarim Oilfield R&D Center to learn about innovative measures, distinctive practices, and practical achievements in oilfield party-building. Wang Zhiyuan represented the college in a Party building work exchange and introduced the college's experiences in leading career development through Party building, strengthening grassroots Party organization construction, and promoting deep integration of Party building with business operations. Both sides held discussions and exchanges on the Party-building joint construction mechanism, Party-led research breakthroughs, and the integration of Party-building with talent cultivation, unanimously agreeing to establish a normalized Party-building interconnected co-construction mechanism. They will cooperate pragmatically in organizational co-construction, Party member co-education, joint research projects, and resource sharing, explore a new school-enterprise collaboration model of Party-building leadership + business cooperation, and create a model for Party-building co-construction.
