On July22, Wang Zhiyuan, Party Secretary of the college, led a team to Daqing Oilfield Oil Production Technology Research Institute for a school-enterprise cooperation visit and exchange. Seven people, including Vice Dean Pang Xueyu and Professor Dong Changyin, participated in the exchange.

Scene from the exchange meeting
Liu Xiangbin, Deputy Director of the Daqing Oilfield Oil Production Technology Research Institute, along with senior enterprise experts Wang Xianjun and Yu Xingdong, along with 22 others, participated in the discussion and exchange. Liu Xiangbin presided over the meeting.
Li Jinyu from the Science and Technology Development Department of the Oil Production Technology Research Institute gave a special report on the production needs and technical challenges of drilling and extraction engineering in Daqing Oilfield. He introduced that Daqing Oilfield has entered the post-reservoir and unconventional development stages, with increasingly complex underground conditions. During the oilfield to increase reserves and increase production, there are challenges such as drilling adjustment wells and drilling off oil-water wells affecting output, severe inefficient and ineffective cycles in high-water oilfields, high difficulty in precise and efficient extraction of remaining oil, difficulty in reducing costs and improving efficiency in reservoir transformation processes, and insufficient integration of digitalization and production management. Low level of intelligence in machine-driven wells, and other major challenges in development directions. On behalf of the school, Pang Xueyu introduced the basic situation of the college, the achievements made since the 14th Five-Year Plan, research platforms, and distinctive technological achievements.
Dong Changyin, Yin Zirui, Gao Mingwei, and Wang Zengbao respectively focused on integrated sand control and water production enhancement technology for complex oil and gas reservoirs, volumetric fracturing fracture propagation-support theory and regulation methods, and research and application progress of integrated fracturing-energy enhancement-drainagetechnology for tight shale reservoirs, Special reports were given on reservoir protection and profile control and water blocking technologies for heterogeneous complex oil and gas reservoirs to improve recovery rates.
Both parties held in-depth discussions on the connection between relevant technologies and on-site needs, combining the actual production of Daqing Oilfield, and exchanged views on further strengthening technical needs alignment, refining cooperation directions, and promoting scientific research achievements to serve oilfield production.
Wang Zhiyuan stated that he hopes to take this exchange as an opportunity to establish a closer communication and coordination mechanism, focus on the actual production needs of Daqing Oilfield, jointly refine key scientific issues and engineering technical challenges, promote collaborative efforts among leading forces and the on-site application of research achievements, and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of school-enterprise cooperation.
Next, the college will continue to carry out organized scientific research, deepen practical cooperation with various units in Daqing Oilfield, promote collaborative innovation between schools and enterprises and deep integration of industry, academia, and research, strive to achieve more tangible results in tackling key core technologies and transforming achievements, contributing to high-quality development of oil and gas and ensuring national energy security.
