On July 22, the 20th anniversary symposium of the School of Petroleum Engineering for internships at Daqing Oilfieldwas held at the field. Wu Jinggang, Deputy Director of the Organization Department of Daqing Oilfield; ZhangShun, General Manager of Daqing Drilling Drilling Fluid Company; YaoLitao, Head of the System and Supervision Section of the Audit Department of Daqing Oilfield; WangZhongzhuan, Director and Party Secretary of the Surface Research Institute of Daqing Oilfield Fourth Oil Production PlantJiang Jincong, staff member ofDaqing Oilfield Seventh Oil Production Plant; LiuXinyuan and Zhang Chao, class advisorsof the Daqing Oilfield Safety and Environmental Protection Training Base; Wang Zhiyuan, Party Secretary of the college;Jia Han, Vice Dean; all leading teachers and intern student representativesand more than90 others attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Liu Huajie, the college's internteam leader.

At the start of the meeting, all participants watched a short review of the internship together, showcasing the practical footprints and growth achievements of the internship team at the drilling site, oil production team, and the Iron Man Memorial Hall. Jia Han introduced the college's recent achievements in discipline construction, talent cultivation, and research breakthroughs, reviewed the twenty years of cooperation between the college and Daqing Oilfield in practical teaching and joint research projects, and expressed sincere gratitude for the comprehensive support Daqing Oilfield has provided for students' internships and practice over the years.

Alumni representatives Zhang Shun from the2005 cohort of Petroleum Engineering andJiang Jincongfromthe2021 cohort spoke one after another, reflecting on their own growth from interns to key members of the oilfield revisiting the youthful years of internship at Daqing Oilfield, sharing insights from rooted in the petroleum industry, expressing gratitude for the training from their alma mater and the experience in the oilfield, and encouraging the interns present to cherish frontlinepractical opportunities, inheritthe Three Elders and Four Strictsstyle, and strengthen their professional foundation. Courageously undertaking the energy mission.

Intern representativesGao Jiabei, Long Wensin, and Ye Yibin spoke in turn, sharing their learning gains from drilling and oil extraction production sites during their internship, expressingdeep appreciation of the Daqing Spirit andthe Iron Man Spirit, as well as their firm determination to dedicate themselves to the energy industry and serve the motherland.

On behalf of Daqing Oilfield, Wu Jinggangcongratulated the symposium and thanked the college for continuously supplying high-quality professionals to the oilfield over the past twenty years. Hepointed outthat Daqing Oilfield will continue to support the university's practical talent cultivation work, further broaden the dimensions of school-enterprise cooperation, innovate collaborative education models, and jointly cultivate new talent for the high-quality development of the petroleum industry.

In his speech, Wang Zhiyuan summarized the achievements and experiences of twenty years of internship education. He pointed out that Daqing Oilfield is a shining banner of New China's industrial front, and the Daqing Spirit of the Iron Man is the spiritual root passed down through generations of all petroleum workers. Over the past twenty years,successivestudents of the school's stone engineering have brought classrooms into the classroom and integrated theory into practice, forging a distinctive path of industry-education integration and spiritual soul-shaping in education. Based on a new starting point for school-enterprise cooperation, he put forward four expectations: First, to inherit the spiritual roots, strengthen the ideological foundation of serving the nation through energy, and continue to regard Daqing Oilfield asa foundation The core platform of the Walking Grand Ideological and Political Course guides teachers and students to firmly advance on the national energy security needs; Second, deepen industry-education integration by creating benchmark models for school-enterprise collaboration, closely aligning with the industry's intelligent and green development direction to upgrade the training system, and achieve two-way empowerment between production scenarios and teaching classrooms; Third, strengthen Party building leadership, highlight the political essence of practical education, promote joint construction of grassroots Party branches between schools and enterprises, and transform Party building advantages into educational and research advantages; Fourth, emphasize passing the torch, cultivate new generations capable of taking on important responsibilities, improve the mentorship mechanism, promote the feeding of scientific research achievements to teaching, and ensure that the petroleum industry has successors and the torch lasts forever.
