On August 6, the provincial science and technology conference was held in Jinan to honor the winners of the 2025 Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Award. Our institute led fiveprojects that won awards, including one first prizeand four second prizes.

Academician Sun Jinsheng ledthe project Ultra-deep and Extra-deep Well, Ultra-High Temperature, High-Saltwater Based Drilling Fluid Technology and Application which won the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award; Zhao Xin receivedthe Second Prize of the Technological Invention Award; andGuo Shenglai,Sun Xiaofei, and Wang Sen won the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award 。

In 2025, the Shandong Science and Technology Awards will award a total of 283 projects and 16 science and technology experts, including 2 recipients of the highest science and technology award, 51 natural science awards (5 first prizes, 46 second prizes), 35 technological invention awards (1 special prize, 8 first prizes, 26 second prizes), 197 science and technology progress awards (2 special prizes, 49 first prizes, 146 second prizes), 10 science and technology youth awards, and 4 international science and technology cooperation awards.
