Hou Jian presided over the opening ceremony
On August22, the opening ceremony of the conferencewas held, presided over by Hou Jian, Dean of the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China).

Yu Liandong delivered a speech
Yu Liandong, Vice President of China University of Petroleum (East China), briefly introduced the university's development history and educational achievements in his speech. He pointed out that under the guidance of the dual carbon goals and the accelerated global energy transition, China's oil and gas development has entered a new stage of combining conventional and unconventional methods, onshore and offshore progress, and integrating traditional and intelligent technologies. Meanwhile, complex oil and gas resources face multiple practical challenges, including the difficulty of deep deep-water development, difficulty in utilizing the benefits of low-grade reserves, insufficient adaptability of equipment for extreme working conditions, and the urgent task of green and low-carbon transformation. Solving development bottlenecks through greening and intelligent approaches has become a key challenge. This year's forum, themed Green Empowerment · Intelligent Integration Symbiosis, emphasizes green and low-carbon leadership in full-chain technological innovation and deep intelligent technology empowerment in engineering practice, which holds significant practical significance. He hopes that through reports by academicians and experts and academic exchanges among graduate students, collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research, and application can be further promoted.
